The Valor Christian Softball team opened up a big lead late in the game against Mountain Range to open the season and followed that win up with a 16-4 win over Heritage in the home opener.
Freshman
Kaylie Whidden and senior
Ella Kane homered in the game against Mountain Range to pace the 13-4 victory.
Sophomore
Jordan Kinder led the Eagles by driving in four runs, while going 3-for-4 at the plate.
Junior catcher
Kaitlyn Barrett put the game out of reach with this double late in the game.
Junior pitcher
Ashley Silvaggi got the win for the Eagles by pitching four innings, striking out five and walking none. She threw 81% strikes on the day.
As the Eagles came off of the weekend, the team's hot hitting continued as they opened the game with nine consecutive hits and 12 consecutive quality at-bats, as they posted 12 runs in the first inning.Â

Whidden homered for the second consecutive game as she went 3-for-3 at the plate with three RBI.
Senior pitcher
Emily Mitchell took the win for the Eagles. She lasted one and two-thirds innings, allowing four hits and four runs.
Ashley Silvaggi threw two and a third innings in relief out of the bullpen. Silvaggi recorded the last seven outs to earn the save.
The Eagles racked up 16 hits in the game. Santorno, Whidden, Kinder, Kulbe, and Littleton each racked up multiple hits with Whidden and Santorno all had three hits to lead the team.
