Coach Atencio brings with him an extraordinary track record of success, including his time at Valor as head softball coach from 2013-2018. Over his career, Coach Atencio has won 410 games as a head softball coach, along with 4 state championships – 3 of which were won at Valor (2014, 2015, and 2016). Under his leadership, Coach Atencio’s teams have won a total of 14 regional championships and 11 league championships, with 83 of his players moving on to play collegiate softball.
During his time at Valor, Coach Atencio established a number of traditions with the purpose of developing the faith in our athletes, as well as their skills on the field. His lifelong commitment to the Lord will continue to ground his work with our athletes.
