Coach Jessika Caldwell serves as the Assistant Athletic Director for Spiritual Formation and Girls Basketball Coach at Valor Christian High School. She is passionate about helping student-athletes discover that sport is more than competition—it is an opportunity to worship God, grow in Christ, and develop into leaders who impact the world for His glory.
A former NCAA Division I basketball player, professional athlete, collegiate head coach, and NCAA Division II assistant coach, Coach Caldwell brings a wealth of experience and passion to athletics. As a four-year letter winner and two-year team captain at Baylor University, she helped lead the Bears to the NCAA Tournament and earned recognition as a member of the 2004 NCAA Midwest Regional All-Tournament Team and the 2003–04 Big 12 Sportswoman of the Year.
Following her collegiate career, Coach Caldwell played professionally for Sparta Praha in the Czech Republic before returning to Colorado to begin her coaching career. She served as the head women's basketball coach at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs and later as an assistant coach at Colorado Christian University, helping lead the program to its first National Christian College Athletic Association National Championship.
Since joining Valor, Coach Caldwell has helped lead the girls basketball program to four state championships (2015, 2016, 2021, and 2024) while mentoring countless student-athletes who have continued their academic and athletic careers at the collegiate level. In her role as Assistant Athletic Director for Spiritual Formation, she equips coaches and teams to integrate faith into every aspect of the athletic experience through discipleship, leadership development, and the philosophy of Sport as Worship.
Coach Caldwell also serves on the Colorado Fellowship of Christian Athletes State Board and is actively involved in mentoring coaches, athletes, and leaders beyond the Valor community.
