Tommy Vento serves as Assistant Athletic Director for College Recruiting & Admissions Liaison at Valor Christian High School, where he partners with student-athletes and families throughout the college recruiting and admissions process. A former Division I quarterback at Michigan State University and professional athlete, he brings firsthand experience competing at the highest levels of athletics, along with a decade of leadership and coaching across athletic and professional environments.

Mr. Vento's playing career includes championship success at the highest levels, including Rose Bowl and Cotton Bowl victories, participation in the College Football Playoff, and a French National Championship. He was also a decorated high school athlete—earning state championship, All-State, and “Mr. Football” honors—experiences that shape his holistic approach to guiding student-athletes with an emphasis on performance, character, and long-term discernment.

In addition to his athletic background, Mr. Vento has completed more than 300 hours of certified coaching experience and holds an Associate Certified Coach (ACC) credential through the International Coaching Federation. He is also trained in the NeuroLeadership Institute’s Brain-Based Coaching methodology and Positive Intelligence frameworks, equipping him to support students in developing mental resilience, leadership capacity, and confidence during pivotal decision-making seasons.

Mr. Vento was immediately drawn to Valor’s mission of developing excellence in athletics alongside a deep and authentic faith in Jesus Christ. He is passionate about ensuring every student-athlete and parent feels seen, heard, and valued throughout the recruiting journey, and he embraces Valor’s Christ-centered approach to discerning the right next step in each student’s athletic, academic, and spiritual path.
