Janine Beckie has represented Canada on the U-20 and senior national teams. In August 2014, she scored the game-winning goal against North Korea to advance the Canada U-20 team to the knockout stage of the FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup.
Janine also scored three goals in the Rio 2016 Olympics, helping Canada defend their bronze medal from the 2012 London Olympics. On August 3, 2016 Beckie broke the world record for fastest goal scored in an Olympic soccer game, scoring in the first 19 seconds of the game to help her team to a 2-0 victory over Australia.Â
In 2019, Beckie competed in the FIFA Women's World Cup for Canada, advancing to the Round of 16 round before being eliminated by Sweden.
When she is not competing for the Canadian National Team, Janine plays professionally for Manchester City W.F.C.
