HEAD GIRLS LACROSSE COACH LAUREN BENNER STEPS DOWN AT VALOR CHRISTIAN HIGH SCHOOL
HIGHLANDS RANCH, CO — JULY 8, 2020 —Valor Christian's Director of Athletics Brian Bonn announced today that head girl's lacrosse coach Lauren Benner has stepped down at Valor Christian High School. Benner has served as the girl's lacrosse coach for three seasons. Coach Benner helped lead the Eagles to their first ever final four appearance while having an impressive 23-12 overall record during her time at Valor. Her dedication to her players both on and off the field should be admired. Benner was awarded the CHSAA coach of the year in 2019.
 
"We are very thankful for Coach Benner and her commitment to our young ladies. She took a good program and turned it into a great one. She always led in a Godly way and there is no question that I hold her in the highest regard with the way that she dedicated her time to the girl's lacrosse players within our program. We are thankful for all that she has done to better our program and we wish her nothing but the best in her future endeavors."
 
A Personal Statement from Coach Benner:
"It is with a heavy heart that I have decided to step away as the Head Girls Lacrosse Coach at Valor. I am so grateful for the past three years I have been able to spend enriching myself in the Valor community. It has been an absolute honor to lead the program to new highs. This team means the world to me and I wish them the best of luck."
