Valor Christian Girls Basketball headed into the 2022-23 6A CHSAA State Tournament as the #1 overall seed. Tuesday night they tipped off against #32 Mountain Vista and proved just why they are the #1 seed. The Eagles had a tremendous performance, defeating the Vista Eagles 79-30. The team shot 55% from behind the arc, led by #11 Quinn Vansickle who went 5-6 and scored 19 points, 4 assists and 2 steals. Senior, Macey Huard recorded a double-double on the night with 17 points, 11 rebounds and shot 8-15 from the field. Sophomore, Rylie Beers tallied 10 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists in the Eagles playoff victory. 

The girls advance to the round of 16 on Friday, February 24th and will tip-off against #17 Legend High School on their home court at 7:00 PM.
