We are excited to announce that Brooke Winaker will be joining Valor Athletics as the head coach of the Valor Girls Swim+Dive program.

Coach Winaker (née Stenstrom) brings an extraordinary level of experience and success to the deck at Valor. During her swim career at Stanford University, she was a member of three NCAA championship teams and four Pac-12 championship teams. At Stanford, she swam in the 50 free, 100 free, and 200 free individually, and on the 200 medley relay and 200 free relay teams. Coach Winaker is also a Valor alumna, class of 2016. While at Valor she was named the 2016 Colorado Swimmer of the Year, winning the state title in the 50 free, 100 free, and 200 medley relay, helping lead the Eagles to the 2016 league title and 4A Colorado state championship.

Coach Winaker's walk with the Lord and commitment to setting a high level of expectations will elevate and enrich the Girls Swim+Dive program. She is an incredible encourager of people, believing in athletes' ability to rise to the occasion. She is excited to bring that culture to the swim team, encouraging the Valor girls in all aspects of their lives. As a current seminary student, Coach Winaker's love for Jesus Christ and sharing Biblical truth will be the foundation of the program.
