The Valor Christian Boys Volleyball team completed another successful season in the spring of 2026, the 6th in program history.  The season started off with a 5 game win streak.  Their first match was a 4 set win over Castle View at their place.  The streak also included sweeps over Rock Canyon, Rampart and Fossil Ridge and a 4 set win over rival Regis Jesuit.  They suffered their first loss against Eaglecrest, the eventual state runner-up on their home floor at their tournament.  Going into Spring Break they had a record of 6-3 and were excited for a small break before entering the heart of league play and the Cheyenne Mountain Tournament.  

Playing in the Centennial league is by far the toughest league in the State with the top three ranked teams in the state and five teams in the top 11 so every match is against the top teams in the state.  In the middle of the league portion of the season, the team traveled to Colorado Springs for the Cheyenne Mountain Tournament.  There they finished 3rd with a record of 3-1.  The following week they returned to league play.  This year's team finished tied for 3rd place going into the league tournament.  To end the regular season the Eagles traveled to Douglas County to face the 6th ranked Huskies.  The squad put together their most complete game of the year and put the beat down on a team that has become a rival the last 4 years besting them 3-0.  

With a record of 16-7 and the strongest strength of schedule in the state, the Eagles finished 9th qualifying them for Regionals where they would travel to #8 Castleview to play Chaparral and the host Sabercats.  After taking down the Wolverines 3-1, the Eagles had a rematch with the team they opened the season with for a berth to the State Tournament.  Despite a great battle Valor came up a bit short to end their season as the 9th ranked team in Colorado.  

Not only did the team have a great year as a group, several individuals were honored for their accomplishments.  Senior Middle Blocker, Wyatt Rocha, was honored with All Centennial League Honorable Mention for his efforts.  Wyatt was one of the top Middles in the state finishing ranked 9th for blocks and finished the year with over 100 kills.  Sophomore setter Andrew Connor was named 2nd Team All League contributing 588 assists which placed him 10th in the state.  The other Senior Middle Blocker, Ted Ranzan, was also named 2nd team for his 76 blocks (7th in the state) and his .314 hitting percentage. Senior Outside Hitter Reed Fisk was one of the most dominant players in the state and led the Eagles offense and serve receive all year.  He ended the season with the second most kills in the state with 376 and first in Kills per set at 5.3.  He was also in the top ten for hitting percentage at .376 and had a serve receive pass rate of an outstanding 2.43.  Coaches in the league and across the state recognized Fisk's dominance and how well rounded a player he was in 2026 by voting him Co-Player of the League and 1st Team All-State.  

The team has big shoes to fill graduating 6 seniors but there is great optimism for the future with some great young players coming up that will continue the legacy of representing Valor on the volleyball court with Christ-like character, commitment to caring for our Volleyball community and outstanding work on the court.
