Girls Volleyball Looks Ahead to 2026 Season

Team Identity & Culture

Our theme this season is Made for More. We believe God created us for more than playing out of fear—He created us to compete in freedom. Throughout the season, our athletes will learn what it means to compete from identity, not for identity. When your worth isn't determined by your performance, you are free to play with courage, confidence, and joy.

Offseason & Preseason Preparation

In the off season we demonstrated a commitment to growth. We competed in 13 matches during a college team camp, gaining valuable experience while developing both individually and collectively. Throughout the summer, our emphasis was on building discipline, improving execution, and developing consistency in everything we do. While injuries prevented us from training with our full roster at times, our athletes embraced the challenges and continued to grow, adapt, and invest in one another.

Player Development

Our three returning varsity seniors—Piper McFadden, Harper Scott, and Camryn Kooi—will provide outstanding leadership and play key roles this season. Kora Fisher and Kinsley Bernum also return with valuable varsity experience and are expected to make significant contributions. One of the biggest offseason improvements came from Cambrya Jones, who has made tremendous strides in her development.

We will greatly miss
Camble Booth, who is recovering from an ACL injury. Her leadership, energy, and presence will be felt throughout the program, and we look forward to her being a huge asset on our sidelines.

We're also excited about several newcomers who will add depth, competition, and versatility to our roster.

Team Strengths & Areas of Focus

One of our greatest strengths this season will be our ability to spread the offense and create scoring opportunities from both pins. Replacing a talented senior class—especially in the middle blocker position—will be one of our biggest challenges. Our middles led by returner Lily Bowers are inspired to work hard and continue to focus on increasing the speed and tempo of our offense, while establishing a disciplined block so we can compete at the highest level.

This team also possesses something that can't be measured on a stat sheet. Last season, these athletes persevered through significant adversity with unwavering grit, resilience, and faith. They leaned on one another, stayed anchored in Christ, and developed a genuine love for each other. That foundation will continue to shape who we are as we move into this season.

Goals & Outlook

Valor Volleyball has a tradition of excellence, including four state championships, and our goal is to compete for a fifth. More importantly, our focus is on being faithful in the daily process—doing the little things well, staying disciplined, controlling what we can control, loving one another deeply, and competing with freedom and purpose.

This is an exceptionally special group of young women. Their character, work ethic, faith, and commitment to one another make them uncommon, and we are excited to see what they can accomplish together this season.
