Appointed full-time in 2018. Coach Burrage has been on staff as an Assistant Coach for Boys Basketball since 2010, including the 4A State Championship during the 2016-2017 season. Coach Burrage also won a VESPY Award for Valor’s “Assistant Coach of the Year”, in 2017. Burrage became the head boys basketball coach in October of 2021. 

Mr. Burrage comes from a family of renowned chefs. As the owner of the historical Capistrano Depot Restaurant in San Juan Capistrano, Chef Dennis received rave media reviews, national attention and a James Beard Award Honor in 1996. His talents, passion and creativity have provided him the opportunity to serve as Executive Chef and Culinary Consultant where he customized numerous celebrity, black tie social galas and themed culinary extravaganzas. Among others, he has entertained the Queen of England, the Late Pope John Paul, and President George Bush, and Earvin “Magic” Johnson.

Now, he finds his calling in mentoring young adults, teenagers and youth groups through athletics. “Chef” Dennis is now “Coach” Dennis, where he is using his coaching as a platform to “prepare tomorrow’s leaders to transform the world for Jesus Christ.”
