Brent has been teaching and coaching for over 20 years. In the classroom, he has predominantly taught Bible and English. Currently, he teaches The Life and Teachings of Christ to freshmen and transfer students at Valor.Â
During his youth, Brent played football, basketball, baseball, ran track and swam. His coaching career has included high school football and basketball. Hockey has been a more recent addition where he serves as the Chaplain for the hockey program.
Brent holds a B.A. in English & Human Relations from Samford University, an M.A. in Counseling and an M.A. in Curriculum & Instruction from Colorado Christian University. He has been married 20+ years to the love of his life, Heather. They have two boys - Cole and Anders. Both boys graduated from Valor. Anders played hockey at Valor and was a member of the Eagles state championship team in 2021.Â
Brent’s role as Chaplain is to help set and guide the program’s spiritual direction and to be available to assist players, parents and coaches in their walks with Christ.
