Valor Christian Boys Basketball proved why they are #8 in the state with a huge 102-53 win over Monarch High School on Wednesday night. The Eagles performance from beyond the arch proved to be too much for the Coyotes defense. Led by Sophomore, Cole Scherer, who finished with 24 points, 6 assists and 2 steals, Valor shot 59% from 3, 58% from the field and 100% from the line. Scherer shot 9-15 and 4-6 from beyond the arc. Senior, Hunter Guiles also had an outstanding performance shooting 5-9 from three, finishing with 17 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Senior, Evan Gomez shot 100% from three (4-4) and tallied 14 points in the Eagles victory.

The boys will tip-off on Saturday, February 25th at 6:00pm on their home court against Vista Ridge High School in the round of 16.
